TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Many groups are taking the opportunity to bring their message right to lawmakers who are back in one place.
Hundreds of attendees gathered for rallies at the Kansas State Capitol on Wednesday. The first one, “Labor Rally”, was put on by Kansas American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations.
“This is your state,” Kansas AFL-CIO Executive Secretary-Treasurer Jake Lowen said. “When you walk these halls today, when you sit down with your legislators, don’t let anyone make you feel like your voice doesn’t belong here.”
